| Abstract | Land parcels in Dakota County. Each parcel has a parcel identification number (PIN) that is used to link information from the Assessors database, or other sources. |
| Purpose | Some of the various uses include mapping land value, building value, land use, tax status, land ownership, etc. From these maps, the Dakota County Assessors will be able to look at adjacent property to assist them with their assessment of property value. The parcel database can be mapped to show vacant land, and land that will be impacted by a new roadway, airport, or other new facility. The parcel database can be used to determine adjacent land owners of where zoning changes are proposed or where new regulations have been put in place. The Parcel database is not a survey and not intended to be used as one. The Parcel database is an integral part of Dakota County Parcel Query and Real Estate Inquiry. |
