| Purpose | Physical feature information is most useful for general reference. The information could also be used to determine building square footage of major industrial and commercial buildings for planning purposes. Since it is 10 years between the U.S. Census, physical feature information is often a more up to date map for showing what areas of the County are growing. | |||

| Attribute Accuracy | The physical features overall have been collected with a high degree of confidence and are as current as the date of the aerial photography. The physical features collected from the lower level photography (flying height of 3000 & 5000 feet) were more readily identifiable then those of the higher level photography (flying height of 20,000). | |||

| Lineage | The physical feature layers were developed by contracted vendors who stereo-digitized the information from aerial photographs. The horizontal and vertical control was obtained by using Global Positioning Systems technology and conventional survey methods. These layers have been assembled using various accuracy's. The urban areas of the County utilized lower level photography (flying height of 3000 and 5000 feet) providing a location accuracy of 1.5 feet horizontally. The features for the rural parts of the county were obtained from higher level photography (flying height of 20,000 feet) providing a location accuracy of 8 feet horizontally. |
