Abstract This data is a Twin Cities metro area version of the 2002 Minnesota Legislative Districts dataset from the Minnesota Legislative Coordinating Commission (see http://www.gis.leg.mn/metadata/leg02.htm ). It includes only those State House of Representative and State Senate Districts which overlap the Twin Cities 7 County Area.

Base data and features are derived from the 2000 TIGER files prepared by the U.S. Census Bureau.

State Legislative Districts ordered by the Minnesota Supreme Court Special Redistricting Panel in the matter of Zachman v. Kiffmeyer, case #C0-01-160, on March 19, 2002. Dataset also includes Minnesota Session Laws 2003, 1st Special Session, Chapter 16 - H.F.No. 66 Sect. 13 (adjustment between house districts 45A and 45B).
